Why we make these
Maliton is a workroom. We draw, sew and measure nursery cotton, and it reaches you through a retail partner rather than through a shop of our own.
What we actually do
We design the pieces, choose the weave, set the sizing and check what comes off the line. That is the whole of our job and we are happy to be held to it.
What we do not do is take your money, pack your box or move it across the country. That side sits with the retail partner whose page the buy buttons open. It is worth saying plainly, because a lot of sites in this corner of the internet are vague about which half they are.
Why the numbers are everywhere
Nursery kit is bought by people who are tired and short of time, usually at eleven at night. Adjectives are no use in that state. Liters, inches, layers and pack counts are, so those go on every piece and the adjectives mostly do not.
The same thinking produced the two counters on this site. Nobody wants to read nine hundred words about burp cloths. They want a number for their own week.
Where we are
1140 Cedar Ridge Road, Suite 12, Greenfield, IN 46140. That is where our desk is, not a shop. No shelves to walk along, no counter, nowhere to sit a baby down while you look. Please don’t send a parcel there either — anything going back travels through the retail partner that handled the order. Letters reach us fine.
